Samaritan's Feet and 88.3 WAFJ Provide Shoes for Southside Elementary Students

"These are the coolest shoes I have ever seen!" exclaimed a first-grade student at Southside Elementary as he proudly displayed his new light-up, Batman sneakers. Samaritan's Feet and 88.3 WAFJ provided sneakers to over 570 students at Southside Elementary with help from Citizen Way, a national Contemporary Christian band. Samaritan's Feet, a nonprofit organization dedicated to sharing a message of hope and love through washing the feet of children around the world and adorning them with new shoes, provided the sneakers. This inspiring organization serves and inspires hope in children by providing shoes as the foundation to a spiritual and healthy life resulting in the advancement of education and economic opportunities. Volunteers from across Richmond County spent their morning with Superintendent Dr. Angela Pringle and the Richmond County Board of Education inspiring the students at Southside Elementary, allowing them to put their best foot forward with a new pair of shoes.
